Who We Are
Do you want to get in shape? Learn self-defense? Meet and make new friends? Compete? At Mike Miles MuayThai & Kickboxing Ltd we pride ourselves in offering a very beginner-friendly environment. We are a professional and certified facility. Classes are safe and never intimidating. Over 70% of our members are women! Our first gym opened in Calgary in 1977, and we have grown since then with a second facility in Calgary, plus affiliate locations in Edmonton, Cochrane and Lethbridge. We are certain that you will like our fun and friendly atmosphere and professionalism ... so much so that we let you try a free initial class! Come on down! You will see what we mean!

Our Facility
We have been open since 1999-01-01. Our facility boasts 6000sqft of total space, and includes a fully stocked ProShop on site. The gym comes equipped with 3000sqft of open floor space, 16 heavy bags of various weights, fully equipped weight training area, cardio equipment including Stair Climber, treadmills, and stationary bikes. Exercise mats, 25 pairs of Thai pads and 25 belly pads, plus clean locker room and shower facilities.
Memberships
Come in and try a Free introductory class to experience the fun of learning Thailand's traditional sport. Once you have completed 5 introductory classes we offer classes 7 days a week to suit your needs and schedule. All of our membership options include unlimited access to equipment and regularly scheduled group classes. Our most popular membership plans are

Our Classes
We offer a wide variety of classes for a wide variety of people, from those interested in just losing a few pounds, those wishing to learn self-defense, or becoming a World Champion and fighting in prestigious events all over the world. We like to make our classes as fun and beneficial to your health as possible. Motivation and drive come much easier when you set goals for yourself, and we are here to help you set and achieve personal goals. Whether it's losing weight or fighting competitively, we help you get the most out of your experience at National Kickboxing & MuayThai.
We offer classes at all levels from Beginners MuayThai and Kickboxing, to Intermediate MuayThai and Kickboxing, to Advanced MuayThai and Kickboxing. The first half of classes concentrates on cardio fitness with lots of running, skipping, push-ups, sit-ups, squats and various other strengthening exercises to get your body supple and warm. After the warm-up comes a 5-10 minute stretch, followed by practicing offensive and defensive techniques. We teach how to throw and defend, including punches, kicks, elbows and knees. There is no sparring in our Beginner Class, but our Intermediate and Advanced classes offer progressively more contact and sparring for those interested in the more combative aspects of the sport.
In our Kickboxercise and Cardio-Kickboxing classes the focus is more on the cardio aspect of Kickboxing and MuayThai. We recommend having your first five Beginner Kickboxing and MuayThai classes before attending the cardio classes, so that we can keep moving for the entire class without stopping and addressing technique. These classes are better than anything else for cardio fitness and a working up a great sweat!
