Ajarn Yai Mike Miles
Ajarn Yai Mike Miles is a world respected pioneer of the MuayThai movement in Canada, and has a lifetime of experience in Martial Arts, as a student, in competition on the professional level, and as a teacher. A celebrated author and highly renowned historian on the subject, Ajarn Miles has been training in MuayThai since 1980 and was one of the few North American foreigners in the 1980’s to be trained in MuayThai in Thailand.As a competitor he quickly achieved a top 10 world ranking and then went on to win numerous titles in his career including 4 professional world titles. In the late 1960’s Mr. Miles started in a traditional martial arts background and holds numerous black belts in Karate and Tae Kwon-Do. In 2001 the WKA awarded Mr. Miles his 7th degree black belt in Kickboxing. In the art of MuayThai, he received the elite title of Ajarn (pronounced a-jahn) from the highly respected MuayThai Master Ajarn Panya Kraitus. This was followed by the additional certification as an Ajarn by the World MuayThai Council and International Federation of MuayThai Amateur. Mr. Miles is presently the highest ranking MuayThai teacher in Canada by the WMC and IFMA. Having these grand achievements Mr. Miles has an acute understanding of what achieving excellence requires, and brings out the best he can in his students every day. Mr. Miles wants everyone to reach their highest level of excellence. His teaching style is technical and demanding, but very encouraging! He has mentored and coached aover 40 world champions and continues to do so. Throughout his life-long career, Mr. Miles has experienced the benefits of Martial Arts and wants to see his students receive the same life skills and benefits. Ajarn Jason Jillain
Over 27 years ago at a young age Jason took up Martial Arts to build confidence and learn self defense. Like many he was a victim of bullying so decided to try Tae-Kwon-Do. Excelling in this discipline was not enough and he never felt quite satisfied until he went to his first Muay Thai fights and watched the late Roy Lilley fight. He was so deeply inspired and moved by Lilley's performance he knew he wanted to compete and become a champion too. Jason considers himself a purist and is a stickler for mechanics, technique, and a strong foundation of the basic essentials. Jason not only achieved his black belt in Taekwondo by 18, but he also holds a 5th degree instructors level in Muay Thai and carries the honorable title of Ajarn as well.

Irene Miles
Irene has always been into fitness and soon came to realize her brother (Mike) was one of her biggest idols and decided to follow his path. She has now been in the industry with an impressive 30 years experience, and is a pioneer of cardio kickboxing in Calgary. She also draws great inspiration by overcoming whatever life throws her way and surviving those huge obstacles. A big motivation for Irene is to keep healthy and lead by example in a very active lifestyle. Her training style is very athletic and high paced. She is constantly pushing herself and her students boundaries and loves seeing the results from this.
Khru Yai Mike Zientek
30 years ago Kru Mike was intrigued by kickboxing and decided to check out Mike Miles' gym back in the early days. Having had many ventures along the way, Kru Mike finds himself now teaching for his teacher. He's inspired by students who have the hunger to learn the sport. He finds it very rewarding to see how the students start to build confidence and feel better about themselves all around. Kru Mike holds his a 4th degree instructors level in Muay Thai. Now he finds himself giving back to the sport by way of officiating. He is a ringside official at many promotions and is one of the few people who have the knowledge and understanding to officiate Muay Thai.

Khru Yai Kevin McEachern
Long story short Kevin fell in love with Muay Thai almost 25 years ago and has never looked back. Watching his students on their continuing journey as dedicated Muay Thai practitioners inspires him daily. Wanting to stay fit life long motivates Kevin and continually works to sharpen his Muay Thai skills. He has real respect and passion for the sport and will train for as long as his body will allow. He enjoys giving his student challenging yet fun classes and typically starts off with an intense body weight/plyometric warm up doing a full body workout focusing on core. After the warm up you will find yourself engaged in a technical class with "Classic" Muay Thai drills and all sorts of exercises. You will be guaranteed to sweat and have fun with Kevin.

Hakeem turned troubled teenage times into a mass of talent in the ring. He rose up through the ranks as an amateur and now has made his dream into a career and fights at a professional level. He has been working under Ajarn Mike Miles for many years earning over 4 amateur world titles in Muay Thai and is also an undefeated professional fighter in Muay Thai. Hakeem is deeply motivated to become the best pound for pound fighter in the world and is inspired by many great fighters before him leaving their legacy behind. Hakeem's teaching style is all about power and proper technique, to hit and not be hit. He likes incorporating various fighting tactics, as he is an active fighter and loves teaching the students slick techniques. He is presently an athlete signed to the UFC.

Khru Eric Hussey
Back in 2006 Eric went to the old Mike Miles' downtown location to feed his curiosity in Martial Arts and combat sports. He hasn't left since. His teaching style is very influenced by Ajarn Mike Miles and Kru Yai Scott Clark. He likes to use a variety of techniques and never stops attempting to perfect the basics. His desire to get better with every passing day is a big motivation to continue to learn and improve his Muay Thai skills. He draws inspiration from his second family at the gym like Ajarn, the fighters, and the students of the gym.

Gritty. The ultimate way to describe Adam's training style. He takes being a teacher a privilege and honor. His theory is if he's having fun then the class is having fun and he loves mixing new techniques with some old tricks he has collected over the years. As a competitive hockey and soccer player, he struggled with retaliatory penalties. As a way to develop discipline and focus, he enrolled in private lessons with his dad.
